Project Begins........

DAY 2-6: What we have been up to

The last few days have been quite hectic because work has begun earnestly. We received assignments targeted towards the project and believe me, we dived into them immediately. The tasks were divided among the team members according to their tracks and because we have a common goal, we were able to accomplish it.

My aim today is to give an overview of the tasks given and the processes by which they were undertaken by each team.

Digital marketing/content creation team

They were tasked with creating accounts for 12 Ex on all the social media platforms, create a social media strategy and content calendar for the month of June. Three accounts have been opened for a start on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. They also created a content calendar for the month.

Product Management team

They were to create a userpersona, PRD, and userflow for the product. They were able to achieve that using the design thinking process.

Graphic Design Team

Create a brand guide. Developing a consistent brand starts with creating a brand style guide and this is what the team has accomplished. The brand style guide explains the concept behind the logo and the color palette and will serve as a guide when updating important features. They created a guide that will help the whole team to present a unified vision of 12ExNigeria to the public.

WordPress

Their process had a flow; First they Registered on pantheon

  • Installed word press on pantheon

  • Created a MailChimp account and generated an API key to link the site to MailChimp

  • Installed the MC4WP plugin and the generated key was used to link the site to MailChimp

  • The Seedprod plugin was then installed and a coming soon landing page was set up

  • Set up newsletter registration and added it to the landing page. (dev-12exng.pantheonsite.io)

CRM(customer relationship management) team

They were tasked with creating a tawk.to account and a FAQs document. For the FAQS, a survey was created which was answered. Then they chose a CRM tool and created a tawk.to account. They used the website domain name and URL link to activate the 'property' feature on the tawk.to account. Below is a link to the FAQs (docs.google.com/document/d/17V1cQgbZFHq5ZWO..)

Product design team

Their task was to create a design system and work on low fidelity wire frames which they did. They conducted a quantitative user research via online survey using Google forms and generated key questions to get answers from prospective users of ecommerce websites. These results were then handed to the data analysts for interpretation who in turn gave the product management team for use. They also use a Figma software to create a design system and Low fidelity wireframes as seen below.

The mission and vision for this startup was crafted by looking inwards at our ultimate aim, which is to create a platform that would revolutionize the market place.

All in all, it was a great week and we are looking forward to more challenges on this journey to creating this smart and reliable platform. See you next week!
